a light to guide

even through our darkest hour,
there is a light to guide.

{thanks to the lovely meg of tea and brie, i wrote a bit about her "you are not alone" blog {{as well as my own struggle with a sort of depression that i struggle with }} today on my jorjah-b blog. there are days when the sadness of not being able to conceive consumes me, but even on those days, i have a hope that there is a reason God has me where he does. i may not know what it is, but i have hope.

although her blog is primarily to encourage those suffering with postpartum depression, it is also for any person needing doses of encouragement. and i found her blog and her hopeful doses at a time when i really needed to.

i told her i would spread the word on jorjah-b, but i want to spread the word here, too. if you know of anyone suffering from ppd, please tell them about her site.}

  1. I suffered from ppd, and was fortunate to receive help (even though I waited 3 years to seek it). Sending hugs!

  3. Depression, no matter what form, is nothing to mess around with. I have a friend who has been debilitated by it and I worry for him every day. Thank you for sharing about the site and your struggles with depression, Georgia. I think it is important to talk about it - you never know when you could be helping someone else.
