for
even though they're no longer on trees,
still beautiful.
scattered, but almost as if intentionally placed and perfectly so.
because when i think about it,
they're really just his
and they're not just his joys...
they are every bit as much mine, too.
so what at first seems like a yard to clean up
and a floor to pick up...
they are really just scattered joys.
so what at first seems like a yard to clean up
and a floor to pick up...
they are really just scattered joys.
. . .
sometimes this word gets negative attention...
but in these last few days of autumn,
with all the leaves fallen from the trees and covering our walks and driveways,
and in these first several days of infancy,
with all the toys strewn about, blocking our living space,
i treasure the scattered.
this november eighteenth,
i'm thankful for the toys and the leaves... for the color inside and out.
i'm thankful for you, sweet boy.
wonderful, joy-filled images ...
ReplyDeleteLook how big he is getting! So cute! I guess I never thought of Max's toys as anything but a mess I have to clean-up every night. But now I can look at them a little differently. :)
ReplyDeleteSo precious and beautiful!
