christmas eve 2008

tonight was a good night. Santa brought me three lovely things that i must admit i wanted—a digital frame and two things i blogged about at Jorjah-B—a book about vintage type and typography and some kickin' grey cowboy boots! {okay, so it wasn't santa—it was the other sparkly-eyed, bearded man in my life—my hubby. thank you, best gift giver i know!}

but even better is the fact that the hubby loved the gifts i gave him! i knew he did, because he spent the remainder of the evening reading/looking at them. it was like watching a seven-year-old play with their new christmas toy and being totally enthralled by it—like a kid at christmas. :)

some other memories from tonight . . .
while on facebook, i got to chat for a while with a new friend that was formerly an old acquaintance.

also, tonight i accidentally made a new friend. i had been searching for someone i used to know by googling the name—someone who is a professional french horn player. i happened to find someone of the same exact name who also plays the french horn and contacted them. my message was returned, only to find out it was not the same person. small world . . . but i made a new friend out of it.

and what is cool about both of these unexpected friends—they both follow Jesus like i do, and they both have a love for photography like i do. neither one did i expect to chat with this evening, so this was a delightful christmas eve surprise.

just some thoughts i wanted to put down "on paper" so that i remember this christmas eve.

sounds like a wonderful Christmas Eve indeed. love those boots. That's what's so great about the internet - you meet great people you would have never been able to meet before. I love it.

It seems a little more than I need to check the information, because I was thinking: Why does not my GLOG these things!
