more hidden gems

if you read my post from yesterday {below}, you know i said i would feature the "hidden gem" or "best kept secret" photos of the readers who left me comments with a link to one. here are those photos and the readers who shared them. i encourage you to go look at the rest of their photos and read their own blog posts that featured them. {you can visit by clicking on the link below their photo.}

from beth at my unmade life

these are from three blogs/bloggers i've come to really enjoy. {kamana, i know you the least, as i am not able to comment on your blog for some frustrating reason that has to do with my computer. ughh. but i still very much enjoy your photos, your blog and your comments here. beth, you know how i feel about you! you are one cool lady! i'm blessed to have met you in person, but now i only wish you lived even closer. some people are just never happy, are they? *wink*. elk, you have been around here since the beginning. i think you were one of the first people to start visiting and commenting on my photo blog. i'm so glad, because you are very uplifting.}

they are all three very inspiring! probably most of you already know of them and visit them. but if not, you should go visit and become a regular. it will be well worth your time.

{kamana, beth and elk, your photos are lovely. it was so much fun to have you three play along! i'll have to do this again some time—with a different subject the next time.}

i know a couple of you were thinking of participating, but if you just did not have time to get to it, please still feel free. i'd still love to post them later on!

Hi Georgia. I have posted my "gem" on my blog at www.4pointsphotography.blogspot.com. Can you lift it from there, or do I need to get it to you another way? I love this assignment and think we should create a regular featured location periodically. Thank you for the idea!

I love the photos posted...the serenity of the first picture (ocean?) is fabulous...and the beach photo is full of texture. The wildflowers against the blue sky remind me of my own "gem" - lovely! Let's play again!

Lovely places and photos. I read Elk's blog regularly and am also familiar with Beth's through you but have not yet seen Kamana's nor Sandy's so I will check those out now.

I guess I don't have a secret place--I have in the past--but not now. I think I need one. Plenty of places I have photgged lately have been pretty empty of other people, maybe I'll make one of them mine :)

oh, and . . .
kamana, since i can't comment on your blog, i'll tell you here that your post and your photos are wonderful. it's been so much fun to travel to these secret hide-aways via your blog and the others. thanks for participating.

These secrets are lovely. I'm especially fond of the little boat amidst all that blue. I'm planting those flowers Beth photographed next summer-they are so beautiful and I just discovered them this summer actually. And Elk's photograph of the white white sand is incrediably relaxing. I'll surely take a peek at these blogs. Thanks for sharing and this was a great post idea.

Great photos and post!! Love the idea of collecting photos of other bloggers and sharing them! Somehow I missed this (guests in town...) or I would have joined the fun too! (You should do it again sometime!)
