drive-by shots... and lots of them

as promised, here are the rest of my drive-by shots {or as my sister likes to call them... drive-by shootings} from my ride to my mom's last thursday. many of the areas in these photos were places i stopped my car to take real pictures of today as i drove out to see mom again. {i'll post those later—maybe next week.} driving to her house brings me through lot's of farm country and a couple of small towns that have lots of charm. i hope you enjoy.

the day with mom was everything i hoped it would be and more. and i can't tell you how much i enjoyed my drive there. it was a beautiful sunny morning. i had the windows down and the kings of leon turned way up, and i drove when i felt like it and stopped to take pictures when i felt like it. all in all, it was a wonderful day.

the evening was not quite as good. in fact, it was a very difficult one. one of tears and sadness and regrets and disappointment and feeling let down. but i was reassured when b. looked at me and said one word that made me know everything would be okay. it was not one word by itself. it was one word in a sentence, but a word that stood out so loudly for some strange reason. you'd laugh if i told you the word, so i won't. but it was the way he said it. and i just knew.

Such pretty countryside and houses.
sorry to hear your evening was not as much fun but having someone cheer you up in the way he did was beautiful thing to read.

We see the same places when we drive down to see my family.:) I am glad to know b was driving when you were taking the mirror shot. :)
I know how you felt when you left I feel the same way ever time we leave my parents house. I was suppose to go down to see my mom in the hospital the other day, but she did not want me to drive that far. Hopefully she will be coming home today.
You take wonderful pictures Miss G:)
Julie:) ( and the little girls :) :) )

Beautiful pics -- I like especially the blur of movement in the roadside wildflowers!

Sorry for the sadness at the close of your day. I hope the mysterious word continues to offer you comfort and reassurance!

I have many favorite words so it's no surprise that one word, spoken by someone you love dearly, can ease a bad night. I hope all's well this morning with you. and yours. Just as in all good things must come to an end the same always bears true for the bad. So keep your chin up, buttercup.
p.s. love the white silo shots.

Nice series, pretty drive. I like the blurry ones, they look like photos taken years ago.
