something new on the horizon

good news!...
i had a phone interview for a
graphic design position yesterday,
and this morning they called me
to invite me to come in for a
face-to-face interview on tuesday.
i'm excited and happy to say the least.
i'll reserve from giving the details right now.
and i will try not to get my hopes too high,
as there are, i'm sure, others
competing for this position.
but i'm hopeful and grateful just to
have come this far in the process!

i'm sorry i've been so absent lately.
i have so much going on.
but i'm thinking you will understand.
hoping you all are well and content.
i'll keep you posted.

{about this photo {{click on it to see it much better}}... i drove past this farm two nights ago, and i was actually gasping in response to what i saw. the road was up high, and the field low. it seemed to stretch out forever toward the setting sun, and the way the sun cast a glow on the field and created those extremely long shadows nearly took my breath away. this photo only begins to capture how amazing of a sight it was. only minutes from my home, this had to be one of the most beautiful things i ever saw. and how appropriately of a feel good image it is for my hopeful prospect on the horizon.}

yippee on the interview! and i love the picture! illinois may be flat, but at least we can see the sunrise and set. i've got my fingers crossed until tuesday. in all reality, i might have to eat a potato chip or two...so if i do, i'll have to uncross them then to grab the chip. but after the chip is in my mouth, they will be crossed right back up!

This photograph certainly embodies hope. And life. And joy. I'm going to miss the sun setting over fields of green when winter hits somethin' fierce!
With that, happy to read that you are getting a break, kiddo. All good things come to those that wait. And those with fab Gwyneth Paltrow styles, as well. Good luck!

Beautiful farmland. I especially like how the sun's rays appear to form a cross.

This is one of the reasons I love living in the country...there is indescribable beauty is simple scenes. Thank you for sharing. Let's not forget how dark the night sky is and how easy to see the bazillions of stars!

Sending sun and stars your way as you go into this interview. I'll be thinking of you!

see... I knew it! You found a job that is perfect for you. I was just out in the country myself this morning---but then, 'the country' is just outside of this town--didn't have to go far. Hope you get the job if it fits you.
