today {wednesday } was mozart's birthday. {i say was, because the day is almost over.} i wish i had a music-related photograph to post... or at least some sort of image that "says" music. but i don't. so i'll just post this recent winter shot and give you a recommendation for a good piece to listen to. i heard it the other day while driving home from work. mozart's quintet in a, played by the emerson string quartet along with david shifrin {thus making it a quintet }.
while mozart does not make it into my top three composers of my personal favorites, i do like much of his work, and this is one piece i liked and will be getting some time.

ironically mozat and my ex-husband were born on the same day. and he loved mozart. that is a great recommendation.
