no one

“no one feels another's grief, no one understands another's joy. people imagine they can reach one another. In reality they only pass each other by.”

I would like to agree and disagree with this statement. It is true that one's pain at that very moment is very much one's own but I also belive that there are moments when soul connections are very real and a mere passing by becomes a stop and stare and look again. It is in this rare moment that one is able to glimpse the very inner of another human being.

Claire, I think I agree with you here. I was merely quoting Schubert. I love to read about the great composers, because many of them had very difficult lives. But then you listen to what was born and composed out of their hardship, and you are amazed at what one can accomplish--I think greater things than those who have it easy. I really do.

Schubert is one of my top three favorite composers, so I love to read about and quote him. My ultimate dream would be to be able to play anything that he wrote for the piano, as it is among my favorite piano pieces!

interesting perspectives...i sometimes feel that way, when i get into my one of down moments. then again, there are times when you are so aligned with everything around you and you simply feels the total opposite, well...that's life i guess?

Again, stunning. And the quote is quite thought provoking. You're coming up with some real good ones, I think :)
