thank you, all.
i was not sure whether or not my title is clear on conveying that i wrote this. it almost sounds like i am saying Cummings wrote it. but i did not want to put my name at the end, either.
maybe i'll add it just in case.

he is one of my favorite poets and this is a great tribute to him. I love your imaginery.
Girl, you inspire me.
What a soul you possess.
In poetry workshops in college we had to submit imiatation poems constantly and it was always a favorite exercise of mine. Mimicking Robert Lowell was the most fun. But Cummings' style is definetly worth immulating and you did a fantastic job with spinning your own creation out of his style.
"...before winter silenced you" caught my attention and made me wonder who the poem is about, of course.
p.s. thank-you for linking to this on my new blog and I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner but I forgot to set up my blog to notify me via email when I receive a comment. I am an idiot savant still searching for her savant. :)
