you know the song—it was written for a sinatra film, but it's a catchy song we all know and love. and i agree—it's my kind of town!
i've been to new york, los angeles, san francisco, boston, berlin, vienna, budapest, amsterdam and many other large cities all over. but chicago is still my favorite big city. i feel lucky to live so close and to be able to visit often. having several friends and family living there makes it even more inviting. i have wanted to live there for years. maybe i can someday. for now, i am happy to live only an hour away and to be able to visit as often as i like.
i took this photo from the window of my sister's last condo. she had a great view and lived in a great location. i have lots of good memories of chicago. between the serene lake michigan and the many neighborhoods made up of entertaining events, great food, beautiful architecture, interesting sights, diverse arts, friendly people and an exciting vibe. i recommend you visit if you never have. it's well worth it.

One of these days I'm going to visit you in Chicago. I've always wanted to go there! But, I see that your list doesn't include Seatlle (tsk, tsk). It's a pretty great city too ;)
