falling behind with no excuses!

i've been feeling like i'm falling behind in my blogging endeavors. over the past couple of months, i have been tagged to do some of those fun tag posts but i have not been able to get around to them. i have also been given a couple of blog awards and was supposed to pass them on to others, but never got around to that either.

i've had many ideas running through my mind for my blogs, but there is just not enough time in the day to do them all—especially since my computer is woefully slow!

half of the things i plan never come to completion. i have lists and lists, but most of the things on those lists will never be crossed off. i never finished my april scavenger hunt challenge. i did not do my macro monday post today. i think that is just the way it goes sometimes. i have no good excuse.

i thought i lost over 2,000 of my florida images today—irretrievably. but then it turned out that i had a back-up of all but one. i was so relieved! i realized today, i will never get my vacation pics together. it's just such a big undertaking. perhaps i will just start posting my favorites and not worry about the series.

i'm just glad i still have them. it was such a sickening feeling when i thought i had lost them. so to fill in the gaps of my ridiculously long wait for florida pics, i give you some drive-by shootings. this time, i used the color swap feature—swaping out the blue of the sky with the magenta color that i picked up from my dress. fun, no? what if the sky was this color all the time and turned shades of blue and green for sunsets? then these pictures would look normal and we would ooh and ahh at sunsets of blue.

Would the colour of the sky effect that of the water? If that would be the case I would be missing the deep magenta sea, while my boat sits in the driveway.

g this is such a wow thought! very creative indeed.

perhaps, peter. i think that either way, you should get your boat out of the driveway and into the water! that uniquely shaped bottom of the boat was made for water, not concrete! time's a-wastin' DO IT NOW! :)

I like the color of this sky against that red barn! But still, somehow, I think the creator got it just right, no? You are funny, no? When are you going to come and paint my skies (or my ceilings, or my walls, rather)? No?

angela, i'm pretty sure it's your turn to come see me out in hicksville! i'll help you paint after you come and help me clean/organize and get ready for a garage sale!

Whoa! Trippy! I think it's fun to imagine swapped out colors like that. The magenta sky against the red barn is stunning. I think if I started playing with colors, I'd be at the computer for a long time... And like others have commented, yes. Just post the Florida photos. It'll be great!

wow I'm so glad you didn't lose your photos. Just the thought scares me. I just can't wait to see what you have to share from Florida. post away. it will be fantastic no matter what.

omg I live in fear that somehow all my pictures will POOF! Note to self...run backup to external hard drive tonight--its been awhile since I've backed them up!

Love the pics and understand the work involved in trying to get a series going. It can be labor!!! Your labor is so worth it (for us) though :)..you take beautiful pictures that step outside the box of rigid normality.

Like your work. I remember when I was little I thought the sky was green, then one day I looked up and saw that it was blue. I thought, "Oh, today the sky is blue." It never changed back.

I know how you feel. I have good times and bad. I did lots today, but still need to do lots more. But I'm picking up my camera again and it feels really good :)

Can I join in on Macro Mondays somehow? I think I missed the details on that or whether it's an exclusive club. If not, that's cool :)

Oh yeah, I'm not clicking on the box below, either, so.... :)
