wishes

wishes {one}
wishes {three}
wishes {two}
the empty lot next to us is rarely mowed... negligent owners, i guess. but it was nice to come home from a walk a week or so ago and see very tall grass and even taller dandelions. it was like a whole patch of wishes just waiting for me. and it made for some fun picture taking. you can't tell from these pictures, but there had to be many thousands of dandelions. the entire lot was covered in them.

i'm back from nashville... exhausted and so behind in everything, but safely home. and i enjoyed attending the wedding of a very dear friend. it was such a sight to see. both my friend and her new husband had been married before. her first husband was at the wedding, and it was such a testimony to forgiveness and grace like i've never seen before. it was really quite moving. and what a joy to see my friend happy and fulfilled.

i hope to be back into posting some pics... some from florida that i'm so behind on, as well as some from tennessee. i did not take as many on this trip. it's a good thing. i still need to catch up on the florida pics.

i hope to catch up on all my blog reading and picture viewing tomorrow. i missed you all!

Glad to have you back. That field must have been amazing! I really like the black and white too. It's something I need to explore more in my photography....

I think I delay mowing my lawn because I want to have dandelions to photograph, and not because I'm lazy or don't want to do it...I think :)

Oh, your post reads like you had a great time! And I'm loving those black and white dandelions. I have a habit of picking those when I'm watching my son's baseball game and he's pitching. I tend to make wishes that he strikes everyone out. :) Hope all's well. ~heather

Jackie said to me the other day that dandelion fluff is a fairy going to Pixie hollow to be born. So we need to find more dandelions to make more fairies:)
Wishes are good too.

Lovely, and very inspiring. I wish I was there I would have made a thousand wishes. One of which is for time to slow down.

Beautiful. I love the little messages you add to the photos. I am getting ready for a visit to the B&W world for a while - time to try something new:). Your photos remind me to look at old things in new ways. Welcome back!
