i'm sorry

i've been learning a lot about disappointment lately. i've known this feeling more than i'd like to of recent—on many levels.

one of the hardest forms it comes in is being let down by a person, especially if you love that person. but experiencing it, though difficult, should only make you want to examine your own self to make sure you don't disappoint regularly or carelessly. it should make you want to strive not to be a disappointment to the ones you love, because you know how it feels.

i think i've disappointed someone today. i feel so bad, because i know how it feels to be in her place. i only hope she will give me another chance. and knowing how much i wish for that, i realize i have to do the same when someone disappoints me, for they may feel exactly as i do right now.

your sincerity is so visible here g. thank you for reminding me of those very important things in life like saying sorry and recognising hurt.

A heartfelt, "I'm sorry I hurt and disappointed you" goes a long way. (Just don't make an unapology like my ex used to. . . he always said, after doing something egregious, "I'm sorry you feel that way.")

This is part of life...

All you can do is your best...if you disappoint, then explain the actions and apologize...then and most importantly, move on. Don't carry the regret...all will work out!

I'm sorry for your hurt. If she's a friend I'm sure she will see your regret and forgive!

This is why I appreciate reading your blog! I think if the person is a true friend, they'll accept that heartfelt confession.

I know how awful that feeling can be but we all do it--it's impossible to not disappoint those close to us sometimes, we're only human.

Where did we ever learn to put so much pressure on ourselves, expect so much from ourselves? We're human, and therefore flawed. Your sincerity shines through, and a friend knows you and understands your good points, and bad. At least we learn lessons each time we ere:). And become better for it. You're a good person, Georgia. Have faith.

Sweet Georgia you did a good job writing about this item. Yes disappointments are a path in live we need to follow some times. See it as a way of learning. You are such a warm person, only good can come from this. Hang in there, and things will be fine.

I'm sending out lots of warm sunbeams to you. So many we have rain here now...Hope you'll catch them all. Be well, loving hugs from my heart to yours. Dagmar
