These are so beautiful! I don't know that I've ever seen Queen Anne's Lace in real life. :) I would have had to take as many pictures as I could if I ever ran into any.

Beautiful series. I've been looking at some Queen Ann"s Lace on the side of the road, waiting for the right light. yesterday the highway people cut the grass and the flowers alone with them. He who hesitates......

You rock! Love the blurry one... As I slowly scrolled down, thinking that these were all such beautiful shots, I was hoping with each new one that there would be a blurry one :)

Love these shots... the angles, the blue sky! Beautiful!

PS: I started a 100 Out-of-focus Photos group on flickr... http://www.flickr.com/groups/100out-of-focus/... You should add some of your blurry ones if you get the chance!

Your photography reminds me of how a child views the world.
They study things from every angle as everything is new and wonderful to them :)
I love it!

this made me blissfully happy! i love queen anne's lace so much i was determined to use it in my wedding even though it's technically a weed. each reception table had a glass mirror with a glass vase (borrowed from various members of the congregation at church) and a few stems of q.a. lace in them. it was beautiful, but later i wished i'd gone for something more vibrant. but still, every time i see them, i get a big smile. thanks for these amazing pics to brighten my day!! :)

I didn't know what Queen Anne's lace looked like either....I imagined it as more of a ground cover. I really like the flatness of the top of it. Great views!

Hmmm, pretty, I especially like the ones shot from underneath up. Prettier than real lace.

I moonlighted as a floral designer in college and was forever adding Queen Anne's lace to every arrangement. It's prettiest when grown in the wild though.
Lovely shots as always, Georgia. The white lace against the blue sky is just right.

i never moonlighted as such, h. but i always wanted to be one. well, i guess not always. but for years i did. b. and i love the way it smells as much as the way it looks. such a sweet smell.

thanks all. i've never seen so much queen anne's lace in my life as this year. perhaps it loves the milder temps. i assumed everyone knew what this flower was, but i forget that some people don't live in the midwest of u.s. :)

Splendid. I love Queen Anne's Lace, too. Such strong stems, slight as they look, to hold up the flower heads.

I miss Queen Anne's lace. We had it everyone in Ohio. Florida. Not so much.

OMG!!! I love Queen Anne's lace---and just a few days ago, I posted a shot of it. I hadn't seen any for over 40 years, it used to grow in an open lot next to our house when I was a kid. That's the last time I had seen it, so when I spied it alongside a country rode, I stepped on the brakes, backed up and took pics and picked some! And... as I was looking at it, I had the thought, "why don't I get creative and try a shot of a single one against the sky?" But did I? No. But then, I have just seen your creative shots of Queen Anne's Lace, so.... I will be happy with looking at yours. (I need to go back and dig up some of that flower and plant it in my yard.) :D

Very beautiful perspectives of the QAL! When I was a kid, and with my own kids, we'd pick the flowers leaving long stems, then place them in a glass of food-coloring & water. We loved watching the lace become pale yellows, pinks, blues, and greens! Great shots, and I'll visit often. You've inspired me to get out and look for the QAL along the roadsides! An amateur photographer who's constantly learning... STL Jane
