slow internet + camera = lots of playing in photoshop

this is a little "steeple" on a banking center near where i live. i looked to the south as i was driving home from working out and saw some fantastic clouds. so i drove to a spot where the photos of them would be more interesting. this was the best thing i could find on the busy business-lined street i was on. the first, third and fifth shots are the originals {not played with}. the second and fourth are obviously the altered for fun shots. if you click on those, you can see more detail.

i've been playing more in photoshop now that i have less patience to surf the web in my slow browser. and i'm taking more pictures, too. i'm embarrassed to say i took almost 900 pictures in about only one hour today. you'll see why when i post some more pics later this week. so many changes happened in the sky within that hour. i've never witnessed something so cool like that while outdoors for that amount of time.

well, the good news is i finally heard from the network team of my internet provider. they are trying to say it is not their network—rather that it could be my computer. but i'm having a hard time swallowing that pill. so i'm going to ask my brother to come by with his newer mac laptop and use my wireless card. if it is fast on his computer {which is newer and probably more efficient and more well maintained}, then i will know it is probably problems with my computer. but if the connection is lousy on his computer, too, then i will know it is issues with the service/connection.

so basically i'm saying... still waiting. did i just say that? still waiting? i think i did. unbelievable! i'm learning patience through this {i hope}. and i'm doing some of the things i used to do before i started blogging. so that's a plus.

i hope that everyone had a pleasant weekend. and i hope you spent some time with your head in the clouds. at least just a little.

I love steeples! They remind me of The Sound of Music. Don't ask me why...I have no idea.
Your photography makes me so happy.

do you have a laptop ?

if you do....you could also go to starbucks or someplace close by with wireless and try your computer there...

but if you don't have a laptop...well, then you'd look silly carrying your desktop anywhere....snort !

i don't have a lap top, beth. which is why it was silly for me to get wireless in the first place. but i did not know what i was looking for when i went in to the store to sign up. it was my first time getting internet service. i remember telling the sales woman that i had a desktop computer, though. so i think she should not have sold me wireless. all water under the bridge, i guess.

I love the playful tinkering you've done with the steeples! Very fun -- kinda geometric, like a kaleidoscope.

Love the "head in the clouds" shot. And that blue sky is just gorgeous with those white clouds.

The steeple looks like it's from a more glamorous building than a business. Nice shots.
