something i want to change...

there are some things we have to do. there just are. but i'm bound and determined not to be a person that is constantly prepping for life, leaving no time to live it.

i want to be one of those people who's living all the time. doing it now.

don't you?

i think i'll start with a cup of hot apple cider.

yes! i totally agree! i try to make it a point to do fun things on weeknights (even if i can't be out as late, it doesn't mean i can't do SOMETHING!) even if it's just coffee with my girlfriends or a movie with my guy or dinner or whatever. because that way i'm enjoying the work week too, and it's not just the weekends i look forward to.

anyway. thanks for this post! and the thoughts it provoked. :)

Thanks for this great reminder.

Lately, I've fallen into the trap of always thinking about what I "should" be doing and talking about what I wish I was doing and not spending a lot of time Just Being.

Hot apple cider sounds like a great way to start.

1) My grandfather makes homemade apple cider and it is, hands down, nectar of the gods. 2) I've seen that quote on your blog before and always wondered aloud why I stall so often. And put much off until tomorrow. Or the next day. And then I forget that thought and begin again...
In other words, I love this.
Those blood orange leaves are so pretty against the blue blue sky!

The trunk on that tree is fascinating. Have a cozy week-end.

YES. And I am trying. I'm realizing there is so much to be grateful for in life, especially my health and the health of those I love. I try to embrace each day and enjoy what I'm given.

Lovely photos btw :)
