spring... you make this such a

spring... you make this one colorful world {magnolia with a lot of processing}

just wanted to say a couple of things.

one.
i've been really enjoying spring this year. just like in the fall, you are going to see me posting a lot of photography that shows evidence of the season. i hope to not bore or tire you with my blossoms and blooms. i just can't get enough of them. and since i won't be able to take pics like this throughout the other three seasons, i'm going to get my fill of spring while it's here. bear with me. i just have to do it!

two.
i've received a lot of positive and thoughtful encouragement about my photography from many of you lately. thank you for that. not only does my knowledge grow every day, but so does my excitement and eagerness to learn and try new things. i must admit. i went through a slight lull in my passion for photography. i mean, the passion never left, but i just went through a dip in my excitement about getting out and taking photos.

but my outlook on it all has changed a bit in the last few months. in a good way. i'm going at a different pace now. i'm slowing down. waiting more. studying more. letting myself be away as much as i need to. it's the best way to leave yourself open for learning... or at least for me, it is.

so thank you for the encouragement and feedback. just like the landscape all around me, i'm changing the way i do photography... transforming... figuring out little bits and pieces. and i have to say... i'm having more fun with it than ever before.

i take so many less photos than i used to, but i'm trying a lot more things in the "editing room". i'm learning new things about processing and playing with my photos. and i'm loving the experimental results.

this magnolia flower shot was taken early this evening. i came right home and started to play. first i came up with this. {pretty close to the original shot.}

magnolia {almost s.o.o.c.}

then this.

magnolia {a little bit of processing}

and finally, the image you see at the top of this post. it's been so much fun! and so therapeutic.

i'll be around with some more blooms and blossoms, to be sure. other than that, i'm doing less blogging and more observing and allowing other things back into my life that will surely inspire me in the photography arena.

have a beautiful week.

I love spring and flowers so I welcome seeing them on other blogs as well...shoot away =)

Don't worry about your pace of photographing...if you are doing it for yourself then so be it! Do it on your terms, you are your worst critic so if you think you need to slow down then by all means!

All the best =) Jennifer
