in case you could use a dose of whimsy and cheer like i could

it's been one of those days.

out of coffee... and didn't realize it until i went for my morning mug-full
{which is probably a good thing in light of what you'll read next}.

another kidney stone {i get 'em a lot}.

cranky, whiny child {teething?}.

frustrating issues involving others with whom we are in close proximity to
{with no choice in the matter}
and behavior on their part that is beyond our control.

heartbreaking images on the news of those hit by tornadoes.

news of another student bringing a gun to school causing the school to be on lockdown...
and this was only one town away from where i live.
it was awful to watch what happened in ohio, so this was upsetting to hear.
{it's difficult not to think what a sad world this is becoming when you watch the news.}

then there's my everyday stuff.
feeling behind as usual.

hitting brick walls in some things i'm trying to accomplish.

just one of those days.

so i thought... what better time to do another moving picture post.
i haven't done one in a while.

isn't this sweet little knit dino the cutest thing? it was given to isaac at the baby shower of a dear friend last saturday. i saw several sitting around the room, and thought they were just decorations for the mama-to-be to take home for her baby boy. so i asked the lovely lady who made them how much she would charge if i commissioned her to make one. she quietly said... "oh, nothing. it's yours." how kind!

isaac was one of only three babies there... and coincidentally, the only other boy was also named isaac. it was crazy, too, because my isaac was the oldest, so the two-month-old and five-month-old there made him look like a giant. i see him every day, so i generally don't notice how much he has changed since those days {although, i swear he's gained twice his previous weight each time i pick him up}. it wasn't until i saw him next to much younger babies that i realized how much he has grown!

anyway, each baby got to take home a dinosaur. the others were green and blue, and as isaac's room is brown and orange with bits of green, i was delighted that he had first pick!... so of course, i chose {*cough*} um, er... he chose the orange dino!

i just had to get some pictures of the newest member of isaac's plush toy family moving across his play mat today. i hope it gave you as much cheer as it gave me.

oh wow...I LOVE this moving picture....seriously adorable. I am sorry you have that kidney stone. I'v e never had one but I can only imagine how painful they are.
Some days are just harder to get through but know it's temporary. Try and keep a positive outlook and feel better.

Okay...cutest thing ever. I'm trying to figure out how you did that.

I love that little dinosaur! He is too cute. You can't help but smile when he runs across the screen. I hope you feel better soon. My daughter is a Kidney stone survivor, those things hurt! Take care.

That is darling! Is it an animated gif? I have done them a little but not one as elaborate as this. PSE doesn't do them real well but I think you have PS, don't you?

Sorry about the kidney stone. I know some people are prone to them, I have a friend who gets them repeatedly.

yes, candace, it's an animated gif. this is my first real one. the others i did were with an online site that only makes small, low-quality gifs, and only ten frames max.

thanks all!

glad this cheered you all up, too.

Thanks for the chuckle :). I hope you feel better. Sometimes with all that is going on in the world...it puts a bit of perspective on our own little corner.

Sorry you're having a rough time and I agree, watching the news makes for very depressing viewing sometimes. Love your moving picture, it really made me smile (and made me think I was seeing things to start with!). Feel better soon (and go and buy some coffee!).

Awww that is a darling little dino! Hope that your week gets better. I hate those kidney stones they are definitely Not fun things to pass!!

georgia b. said...

thanks, everyone! today was better, for sure... or at least parts of it. the stone is either passed, or too to be on it's way out. it's always worst at one certain point in the passage, and that part is over.

and i have coffee again! {but i'm drinking a lot more lemon water, too... as coffee is one of the culprits for my type of stones.}

thanks for all the encouragement and well wishes. glad you liked this little animation so much. i'll have to make sure i do these often.
