antique store browsing and photoshoot

{antique storefront window reflecting the historic theater across the street}

{miss chris also taking pics of the antique store window}

a few weeks ago, i met my friend chris for a photoshoot in st. charles, illinois. we went there knowing there were some great antique stores that might be fun to take pictures at. we were right. it was so much fun. so many little treasures and trinkets. so much color and sparkle. i love to see the things that were once in someone else's home—making their lives just one bit more special—or so i like to think they did. you can see the rest of my shots here.

tomorrow, i'm meeting beth at the flea market in wisconsin for some more photo opportunities, as well as a chance to meet in person for the first time a friend i've made in the blogsphere. i'm looking very much forward to it! {i think it's outside—i hope it doesn't rain!}

Sounds like lots of fun!...I will warn you that two weeks ago I took my camera to a local flea market and was greeted with a large sign stating "Absolutely No Photographs!" I never saw any one to ask why not...Maybe too many illegal vendors?:)

I am so totally jealous that you have a shooting buddy. And not just "a" shooting buddy, but shooting buddies - plural. That would be so much fun. Wonderful photos, Georgia. I'm playing catch up today - it's taking a while, I've missed so many days!

I also love old things. Always wonder were they've been (if only the pieces could talk).

And how wonderful you're meeting Beth. I'm jealous you live close to eachother. Say hi to her from me please. And have fun.

The first shot is so beautiful, soft and the light just sparkles. This is my favourite out of all the photos you took form the store.
I hope we get to see the flee market shots.

Beautiful photos, and great times. It's so much fun shooting with someone else now and then. The chance to share ideas, talk about settings, and composition, and take time to laugh and giggle -priceless. I hope you enjoyed yourselves immensely.

I always, always like your photos. My comments are becoming boring, they're always the same: "I like your photos". Everytime you do a post with photos, just know what my comment would be.
