finally––i'm back to posting more florida pics!
i must have taken 500 pictures
just on the sailing trip alone.
of course, i will not post them all.
but the ones i picked to post are still too many
to put in one post––i'll have to break these up.
so here is the first installment of shots.
i'm strictly posting them in order––
not by type or mood.
so there will be a mix in each set––
some details of the boat,
some people shots or action shots,
some of the view from the boat.
but no matter what, i hope you enjoy them all,
and i hope you take a trip––come sailing with me.

I love the close up of the rope one, and the mast(?) with the sun behind it. These are all great shots, but those are my fav.
the day looked glorious ~relaxed faces ~florida sun and water~what could be better...such a treat for my eyes!
I love these shots! I forgot how blue it is down there. Just gorgeous! Can't wait to see more - keep them coming!
georgia it is the colour blue that calls out in this post. although i love colour there is something about the water and the blues that go hand in hand with it.
Great shots! Brac reminds me of Richard Dreyfuss in Jaws a little, lol, but I think it's a cool look. Must have been fun :)
I swear I could taste the salt on my lips while looking at these photos....YUM !
Love these sailboat photographs! I've never been sailing but imagine it's just so beautiful. The blues are just gorgeous; even in the ropes. Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you post more. :) p.s. thanks for the nice compliment.
oh what memories this brings back for me. i miss sailing sooooo much. beautiful shots.
oh man...these pics make me long to go sailing again!!! Love the colors! :)
What gorgeous pics. Makes me appreciate my state a bit more.
these are really great in terms of composition. for me your style is rooted in your ability to capture abstract angles like no other photographer i have seen.
Beautiful shots, and they make me wish we had a boat in the water. We also sail...a 27 foot Hunter. But it's in sad need right now, as we haven't done much sailing since my husband's arthritis diagnosis a few years ago. No hands, no hoisting that sail, on our boat. I love the angled shots...they add atmosphere and interest. Thank you for sharing. What's the boat?
great question, sandy! i realized i did not give much info on this boat this time around. i'll have to fill everyone in a little more on my second sail set.
i love the way you capture the details. looks like a glorious day to be on the water.
Great photos, Georgia! I used to sail a lot--it's funny because I always used to think--before I started sailing--that it was just a nice, relaxing thing to do, float along in the breeze when, in actuality, it's a lot of work and can get pretty harried! Still, it was fun a lot of the time anyway. Thanks for the memories!
My husband and I sail a lot here in RI..that is he sails and I relax:)...Georgeous photos...where were you sailing?
gail, we sailed off of long boat key in florida on the gulf side. we did not go all the way into the gulf, but instead just stayed in the bay that led out to the gulf—it's a pretty big area, though. we were probably out there for two or three hours at least.
i'd love to go sailing in up in that area some time—in new england.
That looks like so much fun! Wonderful, wonderful shots, Georgia!!
I look forward to more information! So does my husband:). He'd love a sail such as this one...more than I would. I love the feeling you get when slightly listing, and the sun is warm and the day is calm. Beyond that, I love our camper:).
What I wouldn't give to go sailing. I live next to the ocean and I have never gone sailing!
I will keep wishing.
