i heart doggies

aren't they cute? they're not mine. they were tied to the post outside the restaurant where i had breakfast with my mama last saturday {which sort of made me giggle, 'cause we were on the historic square in downtown woodstock which has been there since the 1800s, and once upon a time, there were probably horses tied to posts by patrons in that very same spot }. i'm reluctant to take people stranger photos. but pets are another story. somehow, i don't think they would mind. i hope not, anyway.

these two cracked me up. where one looked, the other was sure to as well. you can see it in the photos. first they both looked at a passer-by. then at me. then at my mom. it's like they were equally interested in the same things at the same time. so much so, you would think their heads were connected by a lever or string or something.... when one head turns, the other head has to.

anyway, they were both well-behaved, sweet little doggies, and i had my camera ready. i thought it was a cute pairing of types of dogs. not sure exactly what each are, but they look like they'd be compatible buddies.

i sure like dogs! i have nothing against cats, and i might even consider having one as a companion some day. but doggies melt my heart. big and small. i love them all. and puppies? oh, goodness! don't even get me started. let's just say, my heart is a puddle around a puppy.

i'm pretty sure i will have a dog some day. the older i get and the less it looks like i will have children, the more i want to get one. they seem like they would make great companions, and although they may not come close to filling the void left from not having kids, i think they would be a great alternative. you can still care for them and pour out love you have to give. and they'll never talk back or complain about the way you raise them, right? {wink }. it's a win-win!

do you have a dog or dogs? do tell. do tell.

No, but I have lotsa kitties, not by choice, but because people keep dumping them. We have 3 indoor cats and just about 12 outdoor cats that live and eat in our yard. 2 belong to the neighbor, a couple others come and go, but there is a regular core, most of whom we have had neutered and make little beds and shelters for. I like dogs, too, but cats are the ones who steal my heart like dogs do yours. All animals are precious.

I love doggies, too! I can't have one right now, due to living in an apartment that doesn't allow them. :( But, I can't wait until the day I can! I love them, they are so loyal and loving and trusting and forgiving and just...oh, sooo sweet. Such a fun, sweet post!

LOVE these two. Only not the collar the first one has on....yeak. It has those pins that will be in his neck when he pulls...hate those and they are not necessary at all!!

And do please do take a dog into your life. They are a gift from heaven to love. If you want a biggie try one like my Storm (it's a Vizsla if you're interested). They are toooo loving and cuddeling.

Sweet hugs Georgia.

Well, I take pics of my dogs all the time, so you know I'm a dog lover. As long as it's not raining, that is :)

I got to look after a friend's dog this past week for a few days. I have never had a dog so what a treat it is when I get the opportunity to *borrow* one for a little while. We had so much fun!
