happy spring

bloom

despite a very difficult day yesterday, i wanted to get on line and wish everyone a beautiful first day of spring... first full day, that is.

we had a little snow storm yesterday. oops. i should not have been so sarcastic toward winter in my previous post, now should i have?

the snow threatened to dampen my spirits, but it was something else entirely different that threatened to crush me... wonderful news that is a thrill and a blessing, but also brought a lot of deep pain and longings to the surface.

i'm so grateful for those who came to my side and helped me through it with kind and gracious support and love in the form of bible verses and encouragement that offered hope and peace.

in fact, i recently read these words over at emma tree and was so taken with the way she stringed them together, i simply had to quote her.

"i have warmth in my house though,
and if something breaks,
i glue it back together;
i have friends who will hold me
until the glue dries."

that's exactly how i feel about those who have been with me lately.

on a lighter note, i wanted to say happy spring to you all. may it be filled with hope and blessings and renewal.

just want to leave you with these verses that i heard in church this morning and am holding very close to my heart.

"commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him and he will do this:
he will make your righteousness
shine like the dawn,
the justice of your cause
like the noonday sun."
~psalm 37: 5-6
